Funds for restoration are being raised.
That is a shame and with such an old building and the contents, I can imagine how bad it got.

These things break my heart...I love historical buildings (kind of an understatement) and the loss of the artistry of architecture, construction, etc., is such a shame. I'm glad they're going to raise funds to repair/restore.
ReplyDeleteThe damage done has had a profound affect on the people of Glasgow and beyond but the Scottish Government has pledged quite a sum of money towards the restoration project. Sadly, the majority of students' work was also lost in the blaze, a catastrophe in itself after 4 years hard work leading up to graduation this year for some of them.
ReplyDeleteDisease, fire and war take so much from us. Glad there are efforts to reconstruct.
