My main problem is breathing difficulties due to acid reflux leaking into my lungs. Doctors tend to ignore acid reflux but it has been a serious problem for me. If you have acid reflux be aware it can destroy lung tissue.
As many people confined to a wheel chair and on supplemental oxygen will tell you just getting through the Activities of Daily Living takes all day. Little time for art, quilting or writing.
I still have most of my brains although being 81 years old means I have the usual, typical problem with executive control----planning---. Making lists helps.
Still have a lot to say and hope I can make the time to continue posting soon.

Oh Barbara, I'm so sorry with what you are addressing! Know a whole lot of people are feeling the same way I do now that we've been alerted. Annie out West
ReplyDeleteI don’t know if you’ll see this comment, Bárbara, but I’m just writing to thank you for all your posts.
ReplyDeleteI live in Chile—a place where patchwork isn’t as widespread as it is in the United States—but I love traditional patchwork and its history, and your blog is always a great companion to me.
Sending you a hug from the end of the world.

ReplyDeleteMany of us are finding energy issues as we enter the eighties. Finding the causes will help you to come to cures.
ReplyDeletefor active people, these health issues are a shock and then a serious annoyance in our lives...hoping you find ways to continue doing what you enjoy..it's the hope of us all...
ReplyDeleteI'm of mixed emotion about my many lists. On one hand it's good to have reminder of those odd tasks that should be done or things purchased. On the other, it's discouraging how much faster things are added than crossed off as completed. We'll not discuss how many I cross off as I decided no, not going to do that.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to read of your health woes, hope something can be done about the reflux. I knew it could damage the esophagus, but did not know about getting to the lungs. Not being able to breathe is a definite energy sapping situation.
We must protect Barbara at all costs!!!
ReplyDeleteSending healing thoughts your way, Cool Lady!!! 😎

ReplyDeleteDear Barbara, ThankYou for sharing your health update. We truly wish the Very Best for your safe recovery. My very first fabric purchase on eBay several many years ago was a layer cake you created with classic Morris prints, and also a matching jelly roll. I was So Thrilled with them and am still so fond of that memory & your excellent collections. Please feel better by the holidays and know that your Fans are rooting for you!! Please stay in good care. Most Sincerely, A.
