ROAD TRIP THIS WEEKEND: 4 Quilt Shows & a Shop Hop

If you are anywhere near Kansas City this weekend you'd better pedal on over to my town Lawrence, Kansas, which used to be basketball central but is now quilt central (at least for the 2014 Final Four weekend.)

Rambler by Roseanne Smith

The Kaw Valley Quilt Guild is staging our Annual Show:

The show will be open:

Saturday, April 5 - 10 to 5
 Sunday, April 6 – Noon to 5

       The Place:
Crown Toyota, 3430 Iowa, Lawrence, Kansas
$5 admission

We'll have dozens of our quilts on display, a charity auction of small quilts, a merchant's mall, demonstrations and a special exhibit by our featured quilter.

Roseanne Smith is the featured one. She specializes in
star quilts.

She'll  also be doing a trunk show of her quilts, talking
about the efficient techniques she uses and what could possibly go wrong.
Talks are at 2:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

Oooh, Nooo!

A Hoffman Challenge by Roseanne Smith

(I really don't know what Roseanne is going to show because it's only Tuesday and she has
till Friday night to get more done.)

You'd better plan on seeing EVERYTHING!

  1. Sounds like a busy month and lots of wonderful shows. We are having ours this month, they do it every two years.

  2. Almost makes me wish I were in KS instead of warm, sunny SC. I said "Almost!"

  3. Oh, this is very tempting...I'm just a little over two hours from Lawrence, and I could really use a weekend off. I wonder how badly I'd have to kill myself the rest of this week in order to be able to take at least Saturday off. Hmm...
