Instagram Tags - Reproduction Quilts

Medallion center by Suzie Wright

I've been exploring Instagram, a photo-sharing site you can view on your computer or phone without signing up---although you can't post.

Most of the quilts up there are modern-style
but traditionalists will find lots of inspiration.

Start here:
In the search box at the top type in a hashtag.

The whole filing system is based on these tags or hashtags,
which begin with a #.
You click on these or do a search and see an assortment of photos on the theme.

Here are some screen shots with tags you might be interested in.

You can find pictures by pattern name too.

Sign up on your phone or tablet and post pictures of your own traditional quilts. Instagram doesn't allow you to post from a computer or laptop---it has to be a phone.

Here's a tutorial on how to do it:

And Carrie at Moda has done a post on the topic:

Thanks for this super useful post! I will check the
links, and also follow your suggestions. Instagram does
not seem as intuitive as some of the newer programs.
