Impressed with last spring's Red and White Quilt Show in New York, Carol at Prairie Point Quilts in Shawnee, Kansas, has blanketed the shop in red and white quilts for two weeks in February.
She and her friends made red and white quilts.
And she's asked for donations of red and white quilts to be auctioned for the American Heart Association.
There are over sixty quilts big and small in the store.
You can see the quilts available and make a bid at the shop's website
Freda's version of Chubby Chicks from Black Mountain Quilts
There are a few antiques.
They come down on the last day of February.
Good thing February is extra long this year.
There's even a copy of the show stopper at the New York show.
Wish I could visit the shop in person, I LOVE red & white quilts, so graphic and stunning. Thanks for sharing.

They are just beautiful. I am making a red and white quilt at the moment in memory of my mom.
ReplyDeleteThat looks wonderful. I so miss having a real quilt shop (we only have a sewing and vacuum store with a few bolts of fabric.)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful quilt show in a quilt shop!
ReplyDeleteThis shop looks so wonderful with all these quilts! Red & white quilts are so stunning. They are particularly loved in France, so I have just informed about this post here : http://quilteuseforever.wordpress.com/2012/02/22/le-rouge-et-le-blanc-pour-des-quilts-intemporels/
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your endless knowledge Barbara!
The red and white are beautiful! I was inspired by the New York show to create my own red and white quilt to use at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteCan you recommend quilt labels? Do you have a line of quilt labels?
Beautiful display! I'm inspired!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt with the pinwheels and the chunky birds is my favorite! Do you know the name of the pattern?
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the red and white quilt pics! Love them all!
ReplyDeleteCathy R.---I added a caption to the picture. The pattern is Chubby Chicks by Black Mountain Quilts.

ReplyDeleteThank you, I loved seeing all the quilts hanging in the shop.It is too bad that the shop is so far from my house, glad to have the Internet to share such things.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these magnificent red and white quilts - spectacular!
ReplyDeleteLove the red and white...
ReplyDeleteFrom 3 March - 24 March in Manteo, NC, our local quilt show will have walls of red and white quilts this year.... I can't wait to hang the show next week.
I too was inspired by the Red and White quilts at the Park Avenue Armory last year and have a large top in progress. To say the event was awesome is an understatement. I'm certain it will forever stand out in the minds of those of us who were fortunate to view it in person.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!! I saw many I loved!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the quilt name!
