Nicola Jarvis: Morris Birds

Embroidered Robin by Nicola Jarvis

Here's an exhibit that I missed
in the U.K.s William Morris Gallery.

Embroiderer extraordinaire Nicole Jarvis showed her Morris inspired pieces.

See Nicola Jarvis's patterns here:

And Australian quilt artist Michele Hill showed her
interpretation of Jarvis's Morris birds, appliqued
in fabrics.

  2. Those are really beautiful, nice idea to use prints like this in the appliqués, especially birds.

  4. I was thrilled to see the Nicola Javis exhibition in September. The refurbished William Morris Gallery is fabulous. I highly recommend a visit for any Morris enthusiast visiting London. It is worth the long tube ride. My sister and I spent nearly four hours there.
