Kansas City Quilt Show

Quilt Market starts tomorrow in Kansas City. I'll try to do a blog post every day on what I see so you get a glimpse of what's going on. Quilt Market is a trade show for quilt shops, designers, manufacturers, etc. You have to have credentials to get in to see it so if you don't already have a badge reserved you can't go.....Sorry.

But there is one exhibit open to the public. The Kansas City Star and its Star Books division is putting on a grand quilt show today through Sunday.

Carrie Hall Sampler by Deb Rowden

The show is at the Press Pavilion at 16th and McGee in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

Happy Birthday, Kansas by Linda Frost

Hours are Noon to 8 p.m. It's free and there is street parking around the building.

Memory Bouquet by Barbara Brackman

Above are some of the quilts we took over for the show. There are supposed to be well over 100 contemporary quilts, most from books Star Books has published over the past decade or so.

The blue star is the entrance to the bulding and the turquoise areas are parking.

  2. I would love to see this show. Looking forward to any pictures you post as you are our eyes. LOL I am working slowly on the Carrie Hall Sampler myself, when I catch up on other projects. My goal is to make one block a month for the year 2012. We will see if I make it! Have a great time.
