Perpetual Motion in Black & White

A clever block from the Nancy Cabot column in the
Chicago Tribune in 1936

"A most amazing group of perpetually revolving pinwheels,"
said the fictional Nancy.

One block repeated across the top produces this effect:

The corner triangles make a second pinwheel exactly like the first.
In the very moderne 1930s other pattern companies used versions of a modernistic stars to good advantage, but none was a perpetual motion machine.

The sheet should print 8" wide.

I'm using the black and white prints from my William Morris line coming in March, 2024.
Ebony Suite ---black & gray and taupe prints---to construct these virtual quilts in EQ8.

Starry Path from Laura Wheeler/Alice Brooks

A couple of other interesting repeats
