Here's what I'll be doing: Giving a lecture on Friday June 19th.

It says:
Mid-Century Masterpieces: Quilts from Emporia Kansas – 029
5:00 pm – 5:45 pm

"Appliqué artists Rose Kretsinger and Charlotte Whitehill are known as master quiltmakers, but there were many other skilled artists in the town of Emporia. Quilt Historian Barbara Brackman will show reproduction quilts and slides of the original quilts from the 1920-1950 era."

I'll also be working our Kaw Valley Quilt Guild booth, selling raffle tickets for our annual fundraiser.

Right now we're working on a Photo Booth.

We got a lot of stuff together, mostly in bad taste.

Kathe's husband cut out some holes for faces.
I drew some Sue shapes.

Carol was in charge of wardrobe.

Roseanne thought we should cut out the hands too.
We nixed the idea.

If you buy tickets on our quilt we'll let you pose in our Photo Booth. We'll take your photo with your camera.

Sunbonnet Selfie
We got these celebrities to pose. They look good and so will you.

We might add some more stuff to the outfits, but we don't want to junk it up.

  1. Amazing creative minds in your group....what a fun idea for a photo booth. Wish I could be there to have my picture taken as a "Sue". I can see you will have a lot of fun. I wish you great success.

  2. That is such a great idea, not to mention cute. How about a simple watering can for the poor flower?
