This one is able to warm several rooms, only once fired in the morning and giving warmth until the evening.
Roswitha, AustriaCountry Rose Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10047723270559616033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-42748780396170678852011-03-06T10:14:06.256-06:002011-03-06T10:14:06.256-06:00I have to agree with the Irishgirlsews and Colleen...I have to agree with the Irishgirlsews and Colleen! I have been sewing clothing for a while and I am just starting to get into quilts. It just cracks me up when I see "modern quilting" when there is nothing modern about it. It all has been done be for, and I don't think that these designers even realize it. I don't thing half of them have picked up an art history book to tell ya the truth. Yet alone a quilt history book. I, myself had just picked up a book for inspiration from the library "American Quilts, The Democratic Art" by: Robert Shaw. I was so blown away with what was made in the past and saddly you do not even see that today with the "modern quilting". *Sigh* lol!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-49395177400637258312011-03-06T07:33:02.854-06:002011-03-06T07:33:02.854-06:00So very interesting.... hard to imagine my grandm...So very interesting.... hard to imagine my grandmother's generation loving this kind of stuff....Impera Magnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00889488057400766469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-20645487589035798432011-03-06T07:30:04.604-06:002011-03-06T07:30:04.604-06:00I always laugh at todays 'modern' quilt pa...I always laugh at todays 'modern' quilt patterns which arent very different from the quilting I did in the 90s and now I see probably the previous century.Lucky Duck Dreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01968961207550409189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-55743134804013476322011-03-06T06:33:07.798-06:002011-03-06T06:33:07.798-06:00Love your posts! When I go on holiday in Austria, I like to stay at bed & breakfasts in old farmhouses (Bauernhof). Most still have huge tiled stoves/fireplaces in the kitchen/livingroom area.Marionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15135503104861357876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-60057588525608997832011-03-06T06:10:43.768-06:002011-03-06T06:10:43.768-06:00In the Wiener Werkstätte worked important artists ...In the Wiener Werkstätte worked important artists such as Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. They made beautiful things but never for mass production.
Der Litterat is not an intellectual, it is a second-rate writer.
