That method is great for any series of points, straight or curved. That's what any same person would do to make one of these quilts today! I was so happy to see the examples with the vines in the sashing, which I hadn't known of before.suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01885011551892500020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-60770304741926041062017-02-26T15:18:09.780-06:002017-02-26T15:18:09.780-06:00There's a Rocky Mount Tennessee. I would think Smokey Mountains or Appalachian Mountains would be a better title. I realize the points on the pattern look more rocky than smokey and perhaps the name came from being rocky rather than being from the western United States. It was just a thought. The title "Crown of Thorns" makes more sense.Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14423024947233260195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-39824539917327452212017-02-26T09:48:36.614-06:002017-02-26T09:48:36.614-06:00Yes, I'd make one if I could piece those point...Yes, I'd make one if I could piece those points.Barbara Brackmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07948219446078848778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-64687423039392178092017-02-26T09:38:25.445-06:002017-02-26T09:38:25.445-06:00That is such a great quilt with so many amazing va...That is such a great quilt with so many amazing variations!!Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12460244411628464458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-29881216461687152022017-02-26T08:36:23.726-06:002017-02-26T08:36:23.726-06:00What a fabulous collection of inspirational quilts...What a fabulous collection of inspirational quilts!Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08619642267222624728noreply@blogger.com
