Instead of handling tiny pieces and trying not to let the presser foot swallow them, simply cut the smaller piece an inch or more longer, sew it to the longer bottom piece, press and then use your rotory cutter and acrylic ruler to whack off the extra fabric and cut the piece to length. One of the many ways initially oversized cutting can make construction much easier and more accurate.suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01885011551892500020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-82040778554047459372013-06-18T07:42:56.929-05:002013-06-18T07:42:56.929-05:00Colleen--click on the picture just above the PDF a...Colleen--click on the picture just above the PDF address and save it to a word file. Maybe we appreciate the "oddness" of it more than those of that era.Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17407140105406299126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289466493716180465.post-14787588807620985192013-06-17T07:56:01.062-05:002013-06-17T07:56:01.062-05:00Great post! It's interesting to see how you tracked down the pattern and then created different options. I like pattern #3177. The green version of the quilt is quite graphical. But that little corner might be a pain so it's nice to see options.

And thanks for the free pattern.
