When you click on the box for my computer program BlockBase in the left hand column here you are directed to the web page for Electric Quilt.
It says BlockBase is on "permanent back-order until further notice."
I think that means Out of Print!
No need to get upset!
We won't all be back to compasses and graph paper.
Just in case you don't have a copy of the software I'll remind you of what you are missing.
Over 4,000 patterns with names, published sources and the ability to print out patterns any size whether you want templates, rotary cutting measurements or paper foundations.
You can sort and search by name, by style, by pattern source, etc. And it's linked to EQ6 or EQ7 so you can change the blocks in EQ, re-color, re-draw and put them into quilt designs.

Yeah, I know, it's heartbreaking that it's "permanently back-ordered."
But---first of all: Retailers still have copies. Ask your local quilt shop or do a web search for BlockBase quilt software.
And...we are planning a new version. Same 4,000 traditional patterns, but the format will be slightly different.
So cheer up.
And keep posted.

Your posts are so great! What will the new format be like?
I am so glad I have mine already but am anxious to hear about the new format. Any idea when this one will hit the market?
Awesome survey, I like your post.

I absolutely loved your post, I definitely will look forward to the new program. . I do have block base, it is absolutely wonderful.
is it necessary to have EQ in order to use blockbase or can it be used stand alone?
Answers:
I really don't know what EQ is going to do with it, but I imagine the print manual will be a thing of the past. When---again I don't know.
As far as stand-alone: It is a stand-alone program and I should mention it's written for PC's.

"Permanent back-order"? Sounds like some weird nether-world.
