Mary Sullivan Holdgrafer

Curiosity 21" x 19 1/2"

My friend Mary Sullivan Holdgrafer and I used to teach preschool together. It was a great time in both our lives. It was a l-o-n-g time ago. All our toddlers are in their forties now.

We both made quilts. She moved far away to Edmonton where she continues to make quilts. Here are a few of my favorites.

Simplicity 24" x 14"

Archaeology 21" x 32"

Zen Grid 22" x 25 1/2"

Check out her gallery on her webpage.

Wonderful graphic quilts. That would be a good idea for one, for my daughter. She likes modern things and is rough on things, so something simple would be good.

Barbara,
I have seen Mary a few times because she is involved in the local quilting community her in Edmonton.I took a machine quilting course from her many years ago at a local quilt store. What a small world this is..
I am also a kindergarten teacher ( this is my 32 year) so I knew of her in my professional work.
She does lovely unique work- it reminds me of some of the Gee Bend Quilts. Thanks so much for sharing..
Regards,
Anna
