Round Robin

Janet
Our sewing group, the Sew-Whatevers, has been doing some Round Robin collaborative quilts. In a Round Robin one person makes the center, passes it to the next person who adds a border. She passes it to the next person who adds another border and then passes it back to the originator, who finishes it up.

Our theme for the center was an animal---pieced, embroidered, appliqued or cut from a print. Most of us picked birds.

We were quite pleased with the results and the chocolate espresso cake at the party. And the Boston Bull Terriers had a good time too. This is either Lucy or Ethel.

Before I looked at the name, yours jumped out at me as the most fresh and interesting, but they're all great, of course. those quilts mixed with chocolate cake and a party...well, what could be better?

Georgann's responsible for the picture frame border and appliqued dots on mine. It really made it.

Those are beautiful quilts. It is amazing what can be created when fellow quilters work on the same piece. Christmas blessings to you and your family.

I happen to be reading "Round Robin" by Jennifer Chiaverini at the moment. Nice seeing these different versions on the theme. Happy Christmas, Ann.
